It's called "Hide Empty Staves" and it's at the bottom of the Staff tool menu. Select the Staff tool, then highlight either the entire score or just the section where you want to optimize (hide the empty staves) and under the Staff Menu the words will be black and selectable. Just below it is the option to Show Empty Staves. Don't rely on the index in the help file -- unless you already know the Finale terms and how the editor chose to index things it won't help. Try searching under "Empty Staves" to see if anything shows up. -- David H.
