Hi Jef, In my experience, Finale is very unstable with MIDI Thru set to off. I set it to a Fixed channel that is not in use (like, channel 99, for example).
Probably won't help with performance but might help with stability. Finale also seems to do best with a minimum of 30 GB of free HD space. When my drive starts filling up much more than that, the VM use causes Finale to really crawl.
