well, i'm about to start using Fink again probably.

last time i had a problem, so i thought i'd ask first about it:

i have installed XDarwin 4.2 from the download on Apple's page (i like
that install), it works great and i'm using the default 'initrc', i
haven't even copied it to my home dir.
so, with that in mind:

using XDarwin 4.2 from Apple's site...

i'd like to now use Fink to download and install various items from the
stable tree.
i have a feeling, 'cause it happened before, Fink is going to say
something like, "excuse me but you need to install XFree86 first or
XFree86-system (or whatever it is)." umm... but Fink, i've got that
already?
then i try to get Fink to install that XFree place holder ('system' or
whatever)...
that's where i left it before... it just would never cooperate with that.
if i that does work flawlessly for me now... i ain't tring it yet... is
Fink going to ask me that for every install? i hope not, it shouldn't,
right?
comments?

second, what and where are all the files that i can trash after a Fink
install if i need to recoup disk space?

(OT: i tried to use the new preview release of OroborOSX -it failed and
quit at every launch? i know, wrong list.)

Thanks in advance for your recommendations,
-Ted
