According to the faq: Updating the Package Descriptions In the past this was a bit tedious procedure; but in the current Fink versions, this is a very simple procedure. Just issue this command: fink selfupdate-cvs If that's not giving you the latest versions (via *fink list*) then that's another problem. As far as autocutsel goes...on my mac I must invoke *xcutsel* in an xterm. Autocutsel doesn't work. A window comes open with *quit* at the top and *copy PRIMARY to O* and *copy O to PRIMARY* Primary being the OS X's clipboard. Frankly, according to the info I have read, I see no *merging* of clipboards at all. In fact, according to fink info, adding autocutsel& , to your xintrc does nothing.
