KDE apps work fine in Oroborosx. I suspect you just aren't waiting long enough. KDE apps can take a *VERY* long time to start, some on the order of 2 minutes on my Dual 800 mhz G4. If you are running a rev C imac, I would give them a good 5-10 minutes to start up, during which time it may appear that nothing is happening. Really.

The current KDE in fink does not support sound. This has been implemented for the next release. (we wrote a CoreAudio driver)
