I Just noticed this bit of your last message, actually the command does not
have to be executing, in fact the command had long since finished and I had
used the terminal window for hours after the original command.
You are right; I hadn't tested long enough. It looks more and more like a genuine bug to me, too, given in particular the fact that one doesn't see what one is saving as defaults. It should at least question a non-empty ExecuteString.
