The file is a binary, so I'm not sure that I would know what to look for or be able to make any meaningful changes to it without screwing it up further. Nope ... perl -v reports it is the stock 5.6.0 distributed with Darwin. I have read enough semi-horror stories on the macosxperl lists to dissuade me from upgrading Perl unless necessary. The only two packages I have installed through fink (back while it was still working) were vim and vilearn (both work fine).
