Well, opening them in pico shows lots of uninterpretable characters and
using the "file <filename>" command lists the file as "data." There are
some strings in them (they appear to be plist-style xml) but the rest is
almost certainly data.

So I guess my question is how can I get replacement copies of these files
without erasing /sw and starting from scratch? Is there anywhere I can
grab new copies of all these .pm files or a way to extract just those
files from the Fink 0.5.0a installer .dmg?
