Well, opening them in pico shows lots of uninterpretable characters and using the "file <filename>" command lists the file as "data." There are some strings in them (they appear to be plist-style xml) but the rest is almost certainly data. So I guess my question is how can I get replacement copies of these files without erasing /sw and starting from scratch? Is there anywhere I can grab new copies of all these .pm files or a way to extract just those files from the Fink 0.5.0a installer .dmg? --------------------------------- Jeffrey Carl [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Another journalism major enters the workforce..." -Dilbert --------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
