I have a G4 powerbook (v10.2.1) and I recently installed fink and
used it to install a lot of packages. (I also installed oroborOSX.)
Everything seemed to be running fairly well, but due to a
stupid accident on my part, I managed to uninstall tetex
(which was running fine) and now I can't seem to get it reinstalled.

I first tried to use dselect and the packages I want
are marked (on the far left) with the second and third *, but
not the first; I tried reselecting and installing these,
but nothing happened.

Then I tried `fink reinstall bundle-tetex' and everything downloaded
perfectly, but when it was unpacking dlcompat-20021117.tar.gz
it ran into a problem right after it created
./config.cache
Apparently it couldn't find gcc or cc, even though those
seemed to have been installed fine before. Anyway, the
error message read

configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
### execution of ./configure failed, exit code 1
Failed: compiling dlcompat-20021117-1 failed

How can I recover from this and reinstall tex most easily?
I'd be very grateful for help!

Thanks,

Rafe
