There are several things causing people problems, some of them may be very easy to solve.
In your case, you're trying to install system-xfree 4.2-1 which will not work - you need to have system-xfree 4.2-3. You should be able to get system-xfree 4.2-3 by running sudo apt-get update. Then you should run sudo apt-get install system-xfree86. If it installs, congrats! Otherwise, you're probably in the same boat as I am. William > > Tried it with the syntax listed in your email.
