After a lot of fiddling, including turning off a cpu to get it to compile, I have KDE built and working again.

Some things don't seem to work now, though.

1) I used to have gimp start automatically when KDE started. It doesn't do that any more.

2) When clicking on an image file, it used to pop the picture into the window displaying that file icon. Now I get an error message:
"There was an error loading the module Embeddable Image Viewer.
The diagnostics is:" (nothing..)
You click OK and the image appears...

3) Some tools I'd integrated into pulldowns have vanished. I guess this is par for the course.

4) If I toggle back to Quartz from full-screen X I used to get random crashes formt he KDE stuff. Things that crashed were mostly gs and kinit. 3.1 is still throwing crashes, though I've not seen these two yet in the little time I've used KDE. I done' see anything bad other than the clutter on the screen..
