Since I installed the SDK and then User, I decided to try re-installing the SDK and then running sudo apt-get install system-xfree86. I made some progress:
sudo apt-get install system-xfree86 Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done The following NEW packages will be installed: system-xfree86 0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded. 4 packages not fully installed or removed. Need to get 0B/2280B of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used. (Reading database ... 42440 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking system-xfree86 (from .../system-xfree86_4.2-3_darwin-powerpc.deb) ... Looks like you've got Apple's XFree86. Valid XFree86 installation detected. Setting up libpng-shlibs (1.0.12-6) ... Setting up libtiff-shlibs (3.5.7-7) ... Setting up libtiff-bin (3.5.7-7) ... Setting up monopd (0.7.0-1) ... /sw/var/lib/dpkg/info/monopd.postinst: daemonic: command not found dpkg: error processing monopd (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127 Setting up system-xfree86 (4.2-3) ... Errors were encountered while processing: monopd E: Sub-process /sw/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Despite the error, FinkCommander is telling me I have a current system-xfree86. So it looks like installing the SDK before User is bad, but installing it after User is good. Should I be worried about the monopd error?
