Since I installed the SDK and then User, I decided to try re-installing the
SDK and then running sudo apt-get install system-xfree86. I made some
progress:

sudo apt-get install system-xfree86
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  system-xfree86 
0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1  not upgraded.

Looks like you've got Apple's XFree86.

Despite the error, FinkCommander is telling me I have a current
system-xfree86. So it looks like installing the SDK before User is bad, but
installing it after User is good.

Should I be worried about the monopd error?
