Here's a related question: Does anyone know how to configure Gnome to do one of the following with its menu bar:
a) offset the Gnome menu bar (so it would be below the Apple menu bar) When I used Fink's XFree86, the Gnome menu bar appeared immediately below the Apple menu bar. Now that I use X11, it appears behind the Apple menu bar, such that I can't see it. b) tell the Gnome menu bar not to show up at all (probably not possible) c) tell hte Gnome menu bar to appear on a different side of the screen. I've looked through the settings & help, and haven't spotted anything. But perhaps I'm missing an opening. Thanks!
