Hi. I am trying to get a statistical software package set up (R), but get errors due to missing libraries which are apparently available via fink. (below)
I also have Virex 7, since that's the package my university is supporting. At the end of the day, I have two objectives: 1. have the appropriate libraries for my statistics package 2. run Virex. Is there any way I could get the libraries manually or some other way other than fink? If not, could I get rid of Virex, install fink, get the libraries, remove fink (keeping the libraries), and then reinstall Virex? I am running OS X (10.2.3), and worked as a part-time unix sys admin when I was in college several years ago so I have some latent computer literacy. Janet -- [localhost:~] jerboa% R dyld: /usr/local/lib/R/bin/R.bin can't open library: /sw/lib/libreadline.4.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2) Trace/BPT trap I checked and the permissions on R.bin are fine, so this error seems only to be about the missing library. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: FREE SSL Guide from Thawte are you planning your Web Server Security?
