Strange, what version of tetex-base or -texmf are you trying to install? I thought you had done a selfupdate-cvs recently? Then you shouldn't have package descriptions that try this outdated URL.
my tetex-base:
tetex-base 2.0-5 2.0-5 2.0-5 Base programs for a teTeX installation
For the right URL, replace "current" by "1.0". You can download the file
I'll try this.
manually as /sw/src/tetex-LICENSE. Fink should then find it. But if you have an old package description, you will get failures also for subsequent downloads. Oh, and I see that the gwdg.de mirror doesn't have the teTeX/1.0 directory at all. Other ctan mirrors have it, though.
