Hi!

As a fink user, I'm infinitely grateful to Alexander and Martin, among others, for their impressive dedication to this list.

Having said that, let's go to the point. Over the weekend, I compiled KDE 3.1 on a computer with a previous installation of Applesystemfots 1.0.1. At the end, a beautiful KDE showed up in Apple's X11 after issuing the "startkde &" command. Even more, KWord and other applications could use some of my OS X fonts, like Herculanum.

So, after that, I thought of updating the applesystemfonts package to 1.0.2. But after having done that, KDE can no longer see those OS X fonts, indicating that in order for KDE to see them, it must be compiled against an already-present instance of applesystemfonts.

My questions is: which of the KDE packages must I rebuild so that KDE 3.1 can see again my OS X fonts?

Also related to that. If my way of thinking is true, does it mean that an apt-get installed package will never see the OS X fonts, unless its binary has been compiled against applesystemfonts?

Greetings from Spain.
Best regards,

Ramiro Tllez Sanz
