Is there a special trick to installing both?
Make sure that you have version 1.6.3-3 of the automake package descriptions. This version does not install any files, so the conflict you mention cannot happen. Remove any earlier version of automake. Then installing either automake1.6-1.6.3-1 or just automake (which depends on the other one) will succeed.
If I install automake1.6-1.6.3-1 fink installs automake1.6 which shows as version 1.6.3-1. If I install simply automake, fink installs version 1.6.3-2. Either way I can't seem to install 1.6.3-3.
Should I manually remove any files to remove previous automake(s)? Or how exactly should I make sure I have 1.6.3-3 automake's package description? I did both a fink remove and a fink purge to remove previous automake(s) and I also did a selfupdate, but the same error conditions still exist.
