automake-1.6.3-2 is the latest available version.

The problem seems to be a bug in the automake info file: The file name (in the unstable tree) is automake-1.6.3-3.info, but the package version number inside the file says 1.6.3-2.

In the stable tree, there is another automake-1.6.3-2 which is different. It does install files.

So what happens will depend on the order of the unstable and stable trees in your Trres line in /sw/etc/fink.conf. If unstable comes before stable, you are fine, otherwise you are in trouble.

This should be fixed. Thinking about it, it is such an obvious bug, I'll just fix it (maintainer CCed). Do another selfupdate, and you really should be fine.
