[Fink-beginners] Automake and Automake1.6 Conflicts

I'm trying to install alternately the entire bundle-kde-ssl and 
koffice or mplayer, mjpegtools, mpeg2dec and mpegencode via the 
latest CVS updated fink installation on my 10.2.4 OSX with the 
December Dev tools. The problem is that either fink install wants to 
satisfy dependencies by installing both automake, and automake1.6. 
The resulting conflict creates the error message;

The following package will be installed or updated:
 automake1.6

/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/devel/automake1.6_1.6.3-1_darwin-powerpc.deb

 trying to overwrite `/sw/bin/aclocal', which is also in package automake

It doesn't matter whether automake or automake1.6 is installed. 
Trying to install the other generates the same error message 
regarding "trying to overwrite 's/sw/bin/aclocal'.." message. I tried 
various versions of leaving automake, or automake1.6, installed, or 
both uninstalled, before doing the aforementioned fink installs, but 
they call out whichever one isn't installed. Is there a special trick 
to installing both?

I notice that autoconf2.5 and autoconf2.54 seem to live happy 
together on my system.
