First of all, how do you get fink to get the UNSTABLE source for Abiword?? I can't seem to do it in Fink Commander. What's the fink (command-line) way of doing it?
Well, if you want to use unstable for everything, you can edit the file "/sw/etc/fink.conf". Near the top of that file there is a line that starts with "Trees:" I use unstable and it looks like this on mine machine:
Trees: local/main stable/main stable/crypto local/bootstrap unstable/main unstable/crypto
If you only want to install the unstable version of abiword, you can try this (WARNING: i have not tried this!)
apt-get install abiword/unstable
Nope: doesn't work. The binary distribution on Fink doesn't provide packages from the unstable tree.
