Tobias is not the only one with this bug. I've been riping my hair out with it also. A clean install of OS X 10.3.1 patched with the latest and greatest from Apple and the Apple ver. of X11 installed.
Last night Fink tried to install a new X11 again while reporting that my system-xfree86 was current. During dependancy checking it did not see my system-xfree86 nor offer to in stall it as a choice to satisfy the dependancy. I down loaded Fink two nights ago and patched from CVS yesterday morning. --- Martin Costabel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On mercredi, nov 12, 2003, at 15:49 Europe/Paris, > Tobias Rossmann wrote: > > > What is the current recommendation for > > updating/installing packages > > with dependencies on XFree86 when Apples X11 is > > already installed? > > There is no package in the 10.3 tree that has a > dependency on xfree86 > only.
