hi :-) i'm trying to get gnome running..
when i typed 'apt-get install gnome-desktop', i was told that this package has no available version, and that it is replaced by gnome-core.. i apt-getted gnome-core then .. a short question: should i now just edit the .xinitrc-file (where do i find this file?), to get gnome running via 'startx'? or do i have to install something else in order to do that.. btw, when i start X11 in the apps folder, it gives me the possibility to turn full-screen mode on and off.. when i type startx in the terminal, there's a X-icon in the dock, when i click it, i'm in full-screen mode, but i don't know how to switch between X11 and aqua.. anyone? i have the X11SDK.pkg and did the fink-virtual-pkgs check.. everything seems to be fine there (X11 is included in the 'provides-line' of the system-xfree86 package).. thanks for any help, /bruun --- Martin Costabel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > G�rard Degrez wrote: > [] > > grep: /sw/lib/libguile-ltdl.la: No such file or > directory > [] > > Seems to me that I need to install guile, right? > > Rather guile16-dev, I would say.
