I don't have the unstable tree enabled. I'm trying to stay away from the unstable tree, at least for now, basically because it gave me so many problems under OS X 10.2.

BTW, the stable version in current-10.2-gcc3.3 is 1.2.7-3, while
the one I have installed from current-10.3 is 1.2.7-13. Is there
a way that I can install 1.2.7-3 as binary (or source) under
10.3.2? Might that work?

As far as rebuilding it, I did this:

$ fink rebuild xmms

and it rebuilt. After the rebuild, it shows the exact same
behavior: start it, do ctrl-P for Preferences. No plugins show
up, and clicking either Apply or OK crashes xmms.
