When I do fink selfupdate cvs (as I'm doing right now) I am prompted for my Mac admin (login) password, not a remote password. The same when I just do fink selfupdate >I'd like to know if anyone has succeeded in using CVS from Leopard - >and if so what they did different from me. Yes, I'm using Leopard. Built fink 0.27.8 (the version for Leopard, downloaded code) from source - see thread starting at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg21294.html (with 0.28.7 reversed-digit typo in it) Doing fink selfupdate cvs right now, so it works. I see that 0.28.0 is the current source download on the website. Check your Mac firewall isn't too tight. As far as I know I'm using the cvs included with Xcode 3.0. my selfupdate cvs complains curl can't find fink-0.27.11.tar.gz at any mirror. Do I have to download and build 0.28.0 myself? (I'm guessing that fink doesn't update itself across minor revisions.) thanks, L. <http://info.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/L.Wood/><[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
