thank you for your help. I think I had the original Leopard-shipped
X11 version correctly installed before I upgraded to X11 2.1.4, but
I'm not sure. So, I think I ought to re-install it, try fink, and then
possibly upgrade. Unfortunately, I'm away from my place at the moment.
So, do you think I could download the original version somewhere?
Maybe apple.com? I tried googling around for a while, but could not
come up with anything. I guess I will have to wait to get my hands
back on the Leopard DVD.
