Hi,
Thanks for being so helpful. I don't what to give up just yet. I'm not sure how
to 'build this package by restoring the old /usr/bin/gcc-4.2'

I was wondering if there is a way to remove everything I have installed and
then start fresh from the beginning to prevent any corrupted or older versions
of files interfering with what I'd like to do?

Micky

Hmm...I'm not sure where that "gcc-4.2" is coming from. It might be a bug in
the fink code. Unfortunately I don't have access to a 10.6 environment right
now to test this issue, and mine doesn't have Xcode 4.2 in any case.

You might be able to build this package by restoring your old /usr/bin/gcc-4.2.
