Hi,
Tried:
'sudo mv /usr/bin/gcc-4.2-moved /usr/bin/gcc-4.2'

but got

mv: /usr/bin/gcc-4.2-moved: No such file or directory

I meant:

sudo mv /usr/bin/gcc-4.2-moved /usr/bin/gcc-4.2
fink install xml-parser-pm5100

That way xml-parser-pm5100 will find a gcc-4.2.  That's a quick thing to try.
