So it would seem we just need someone with the login to dotster.com who can update the record for finkmirrors.net to name servers which have a CNAME entry to point the finkmirrors.net server. But was that finkmirrors.net server hosted by ig42.org <http://ig42.org/>? I’m a recent subscriber to fink-core, but I understood that this servers being shutdown because someone was changing jobs? If that finkmirrors.net <http://finkmirrors.net/> server is still running, then the DNS declaration on dotster.com <http://dotster.com/> could be modified to add a CNAME entry for finkmirrors.net <http://finkmirrors.net/> and it’s IP address, and then set the primary and secondary name server on dotster.com to ns1.dotster.com <http://ns1.dotster.com/>, and ns2.dotster.com <http://ns2.dotster.com/> so that the name query will be directed to dotster.com’s name servers, which will be able to answer the query. I apologise if I’m just repeating what is already known, or if I’m missing something?
