I agree. Anyway, as has been said, /sw means Fink. I think it would be rather painful to change it now -- newbies would be confused by people talking about /sw and others talking about /opt (or whatever), docs would be in a state of flux for a while... it would be painful.

Perhaps the "If you have a better suggestion, post it to the fink-devel mailing list." bit in the FAQ could be removed?
