considering coreutils' track record of buggyness on non-linux systems,
especially darwin, it would definitely be better to use /bin/ for
anything important.  If end-users want to mess up their systems with
coreutils, that's their perogative, but best to go with the devil you
know for packaging...

But then, considering coreutils' track record of buggyness, we should
probably update it as well.  :)
