How does it compare to Gnome, out of curiosity? The concensus
seems to be that anything running in X11 over/alongside Aqua
is going to be pretty slow, and it seems like Gnome & KDE are
going to take an even bigger hit.  Now that Gnome has more or
less plateaued, it would probably be reasonable to compare it
to the performance of the new KDE port. On Linux, they seem
about the same to me, though benchmarks would be interesting
both there and now here on OSX.
