Fixes have been posted:  new versions of packages have been issued to
address just this problem.  Moreover, unless things have changed, this
is only an issue for the unstable tree in any case:  binary users and
stable source users are unaffected.

This is a completely separate issue:

What MG and MC are referring to here is that some packages that are
required to build other packages, but not to run them, get swapped in
and out on a regular basis.  This happens with many different libraries,
not just libpng.
