I've just try to read the internal help in Gimp and discovered that no more images were visible.
Then in Console, I got this message:
libpng warning: Application was compiled with png.h from libpng-1.2.5
libpng warning: Application is running with png.c from libpng-1.0.12
So, I'll guess I have to recompile Gimp, but how exactly should I do it, so that it hopefully does not break other packages?
Gimp installed packages:
i gimp 1.2.3-10 The GNU Image Manipulation Program
i gimp-dev 1.2.3-10 The GNU Image Manipulation Program
i gimp-freefonts 0.10-1 Freeware scalable X11 fonts
i gimp-perl 1.211-4 Perl support for the Gimp
i gimp-sharefonts 0.10-1 Freeware scalable X11 fonts
i gimp-shlibs 1.2.3-10 The GNU Image Manipulation Program
ligpng installed versions;
i libpng 1.0.12-6 PNG image format handling library
i libpng-shlibs 1.0.12-6 PNG image format handling library
libpng3 1.2.5-3 PNG image format handling library
i libpng3-shlibs 1.2.5-3 PNG image format handling library
I should say that from time to time, fink selfupdate cvs leads to uninstall libpng3 in favor of libpng and the other way around. No idea why.
