I'm still rebuilding, so I don't have an answer on my end. However, one easy thing to try is to downgrade imlib to version 1.9.10-9 (which was the initial solution proposed when this problem showed up).
Maybe I'll run a remote X session when I get home (from my PC) and see if the rebuild solved the problem.
