The build finished just before I was ready to leave work. No change: the help browser still lacks the graphics.
Unfortunately, the imlib downgrade doesn't seem to make a difference either.
OK, same here, not a big deal, as long as it don't break anything else, I can live with it. And many thanks.
There is indeed a problem with the gimp package. The helpbrowser links directly to libpng and indirectly to libpng3. I think changing gimp's dependencies to libpng3 solves this problem (but may create others, I don't know; unlike our angry friend, I am not omniscient). A case for the gimp package maintainer, whom I notified.
