Claus,
Installing Mozilla was really just an arbitrary decision on my part. I
initially was trying to install Koffice, but was getting errors related to
cctools. As a test, I decided to try something I figured to be an easier
install (in terms of dependencies) than Koffice (Mozilla). I have since
installed the December_2002_DevTools and now Koffice is happily compiling
away as I write this (with no cctools errors). However, in the mean time,
the fact that Mozilla was not starting up led me to believe that I had other
problems which is why I asked the group for help.
Does that make sense? I know it is probably a slightly different method of
troubleshooting than others might take, but hey, it works. :-)
Plus, there is always the geek factor to take into consideration. Mozilla
for X11 , running on my Mac, is way cooler than using the version designed
for Aqua. ;-)
Thanks,
Ned Dupont
