Hello, Fist off, Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it. I would like to try the jabber server, so I did the following: 1) fresh install of Panther. 2) fresh install fo fink and fink commander 3) ran selfupdate-cvs from fink commander 4) told fink commander to show unstable releases 5) installed the jabber webmin module and the jabber server 6) after install, opened webmin in Safari and went to the jabber icon under servers. I get a message that "The jabber server program /sw/lib/bin/jabberd was not found on your system. Either jabber is not installed (it is) or your module configuration is incorrect." Now I'm kind f a newbie to unix, so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to configure the module. It looks to me that the module expect jabberd to be started already, and gives the startup command as: /Library/StartupItems/deaemonic-jabber start but when I look in the /Library/StartupItems folder, well, there is no /Library/StartupItems folder! Does anyone have the fink installed jabber server running and if you do, could you please send me the post install tasks? Also, does anyone have the jabber webmin module running and if you do, could you please tell me what you did to get it running?
