I get this trying to run dpkg, tar and fink, possibly other programs. I
can't see a way to update libiconv that doesn't require me to run tar or
fink or dpkg.
Any ideas how I can complete this upgrade? I'd really rather not have
to install fink from scratch again if I can avoid it.
Was /usr/bin/tar broken by this upgrade or is it still working?
Hi,
/usr/bin/tar is fine,
/sw/bin has ended up first on my path so programs are running from there
by default.
Renaming tar and sed in /sw/bin lets me get a little further with fink
update-all now, but it dies at
sudo fink update-all
[100 or so packages to update and install]
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
/sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/base/fink_0.24.11-11_darwin-powerpc.deb
dyld: dpkg version mismatch for library: /usr/lib/libiconv.2.dylib
(compatibility version of user: 6.0.0 greater than library's version:
5.0.0)
### execution of /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait failed, exit code 5
Failed: can't install package fink-0.24.11-11
cheers,
Dave
