I tried more or less that a while back by creating a symlink to
sw/Library/Frameworks/R.framework in /Library/Frameworks. That seemed to
work fine for most things, but I eventually ran into some really weird
problems (which I can't remember the details of, sorry) that stopped me in
my tracks. I ended up removing the fink version and just installing the full
R.pkg and it all worked fine after that.
