How long have you waited for a response from the maintainer?  We don't
pay them that much (as in nothing) so they typically get busy with
other things to pay for food, shelter, buying Macs, ..., so plan to
give them a week.

We really hate the trackers, even though we're kind of stuck with
them.  Don't file a request there.  In par

If the maintainer doesn't respond, send a note to the fink-devel list.
 Not that I guarantee an update under those circumstances either,
especially for a package whose maintainer is still actively working on
other stuff.

You may have to nag a bit.
