Or we could go back to the classic IRC interface and show all chat rooms
and conversations in a single non-tabbed interface where we don't have to
worry about window ordering or not seeing what all has been said because
of being hidden by the current window!*

*This was sarcasm intended to enforce the idea that no interface is
perfect, and even ineffective interfaces can have the qualities of what
people see in effective interfaces. IRC in a CLI is difficult to follow
when there are multiple conversations (partly because IRC is based on
group chats) going on at one time, but it also at the same time has all
the qualities that people have been asking for, but I seriously doubt that
anyone really wants a return to an interface like that, unless they're CLI
junkies ;)
