Eric,
Out of curiosity, does "Not going to happen anytime soon" mean that
the current developers don't have the time to tackle it or that
you're not interested in seeing the feature in Fire? Or, rephrased,
if someone else did the grunt work, would it be worth it?
Note that I'm not volunteering to do this, I just wanted to see the
clarification in case someone else wanted to.
