This is an area that I need to do a little more work myself, but the one thing 
I've found when 'upgrading' linux is that the 'hashes' seem to change from 
version to version, so I've seen this myself! So there should be an entry in 
your new known_hosts for the connection, but - and I'm showing my ignorance 
here 
;) - is the IP address changing ... AH Helen has spotted then same thing!
