Are you talking about the u bolts seeming to be a bit too spread out to fit 
into the newly drilled holes? If this is the case I took some large channel 
lock pliers and squeezed the bottom of the u bolt together till the holes lined 
up, then gently tapped the top of the u bolt with a sludge hammer. Surprisingly 
it did not mess up any of the threads on the u bolts, the hotchkis pieces are 
nicely made. Good choice.
