Hi Bobby,

When I replaced the glass in my bird I went to a local auto glass
supplier and they had the replacement parts I needed as well as the
special tool to remove the nut. The hardware is the same for many of the
same year GM cars. Check with the auto glass guys, they have a
catalogue with the hardware listed and it shows what cars the hardware
fit.

I used a white lithium grease on my guides/rollers. I would probably
grease them after the window was installed next  time..(-;

P.S. This is also where I purchased the equipment to polish my glass.

Good luck

Subject: [FGF] Window parts question

Hey folks,

I bought a new set of front windows for my '68 coupe. I destroyed one
of the old windows by accident, so it was easy to remove the hardware.
The window that is intact has three of those funky window bolts that I
cannot remove. They are rusted on. I tried Liquid Wrench, etc., and
they just won't budge.

I bought from Classic some of the nuts that have the two holes that
require the special tool to remove, but I need the male part as well.

Does anyone know where I can find replacement window bolts? I would
also like to replace the rollers while I have everything out of the car.

Are these parts interchangeable with other 1968 GM models?

Finally, what do you recommend to lubricate the guides?

Thanks,
Bobby
