Having had a 78 for 13 years and had it in the Philippines during
more than 10 hurricanes I speak with some experience. The rear
window can leak like a sieve and you have a hard time finding the
leak. Run water over it and then look under the package tray and
down the insides of the fender. During heavy rains, it often blows
more water than you believe right past the window gaskets. the
last place to check is the widow post as pin holes or a bad
windshield seal we let water down the inside of the post to the
front wells. Again, use a hose and flood the windshield. One last
area is if your front vent area is clog with debris. When it rains
the water is suppose to run off and our a small drain. It gets
clog and send the water in vent and into the car. All of this is
from first had experience. It took a volcano and a total rebuild
to find and close all the leaks.
