I have a 200r4 in mine with a 4:10 Posi and run it on the strip, and belive me
it lights the 275/50/15's like a factory on fire. I even hooked up the lockup
and it is sweet, 1900 at 70  mph......
Chris at  http://ckperformance.com/  PHONE (631) 218-1989   can set you up with
a killer trans for a very reasonable price.  If you plan on racing go with the
trans (setup) for a 85 - 86 Buick Grand National or a Monte Carlo, it will have
a 5200 rpm gov and lots of other kewl things there.  But call Chris and talk to
him he is a world of info. a standard 200r4 with minor upgrades like a 13 vein
pump will hold 700 HP.............

Just Smile...   It makes people wonder what you have been up too...

Hugo I was looking to utilise the extra ratios of the Gear Vendors unit for
the strip, and also to make it driveable on the highway again with my 3.73
rear. What sort of hp is the 200R4 good for?
Also wondering if anyone had fitted one to the 67-69 'bird and what mods
req'd. Otherwise a 4L80 truck box??
Thx, Jason

You install the gear vendors OD in place of the tail section of the tranny.
They are fairly expensive and you probably have to pull the tranny to
install it anyway. A 2004R is much cheaper and works really well. I
have one in my 69 vert and I'm getting ready to install one in my 67
400 to make it more highway friendly.
