I wound up with an Ingersol-Rand compressor with a 60 gallon tank and a 5 hp
motor. It is a single stage but still rates 18.5 cfm @ 90 psi and is rated
for continuous duty if I need to push it that hard. It was easy to wire and
runs extremely quiet for a large compressor. I used to have to yell over the
noise of my small Craftsman compressor but I can actually talk while this one
runs. Now I can get some serious work done.

I went with a Lowes Kobalt 2- stage unit for $900 or so. Pay attention to
two specs - the amp draw of the motor (I believe each horsepower requires
about 4 to 5 amps...a 16 amp motor is NOT a 5 horse motor), and (most
importantly) the CFM capability...tank size is almost irrelevant.
