I called Butler Perf today and they said the standard 455 piston is
4.151". I thought they were 4.150 and my 400 block that I'm converting to
a 455 is bored 30 over, which makes it 4.150, too tight for a 4.151
piston. BP said Federal Mogul/TRW 4.151's are on back order with no idea
when they will be available. They said Keith Black now makes a forged
piston and it is in between quality/price of the TRW and Ross, 3 weeks
lead time. They have Ross in stock for $600 plus $75 for the pins.
Has anyone found 4.150 pistons for a 455? Has anyone used the forged Keith
Blacks or Ross? Good/bad?
