First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... My 69 has what appears to be a small tube that is a vent by the filler pipe. I only looked at it in passing while unloading parts from the trunk. I think it had a piece of rubber tubing on it. My car didn't have a bumper on it and it looked like it would normally be hidden behind the bumper. Again, from memory, it looked like without the rubber hose it might be able to dribble gas out from a full tank if you made it slosh around while driving.
